I’ve mentioned before how crazy happy I am that velvet has been a major trend as of this past year. For some reason when I was really young, I would gravitate toward every velvet dress I saw come winter even though it seemed completely outdated at the time. So, this is pretty much the moment I’ve been waiting for my whole life. Luckily, you can currently find a velvet item in any shape, size, and color you can dream up. One I’m particularly in lust with are these delicate forest green J. Crew pumps. I have a pair of houndstooth trousers I cannot wait to wear them with. I still also want every furry jacket I see and I love this rust color because it’s totally ’70s. More and more I seem to be gravitating towards a looser vintage fit for jeans over my usual skinnies and I really like the color and wash of this CoH pair. I’m not over pearl accented items either and these Paige jeans with pearl detailing at the hem are to die for. I’ve always had a thing for combat boots and I’m so happy they’re in this year. They look just as good with ripped jeans and a band tee as they do with a feminine floral dress for added edge. This Frye pair is my favorite because they’re tough, but still manage to look polished. I love both of these satin cropped wrap blouses and I think either would look great with both these pairs of jeans. Lastly, these silver loafers are a great go-to and I like that they’re soft leather rather than patent even though they’re a metallic.
